Installing Urbit

How do I install Urbit? I found this and followed all the steps: How To Install Ubuntu Linux On Windows 10 In 24 Steps This took me the good part of my Sunday morning with distractions. Then I installed Urbit. I ran into trouble at Clone and Make. I couldn't figure it out and assumed I had the file in the wrong place, but I couldn't figure out how to find the file directory (like Windows Explorer) in Ubuntu. I could change directories in Unix, but didn't know the right one. I finally hit upon a solution: by right clicking the mouse on a file or directory, I could open it in the terminal. I opened the folder where the tarball source was located. It worked. I did a bunch of setup tasks and tried talk. A day later, I tried starting Urbit again and I got an error, not enough RAM. (I had more than 2 GB in the VirtualBox). I closed Ubuntu and raised it to 3 GB.
